John is a Certified Public Accountant as well as an Attorney. John is the Chairman of the Board of the
Berkshire Chamber of Commerce. He is also the Finance Committee Chair and a member of the Board of
Directors of Berkshire Place.
He is a member of the Berkshire County Estate Planning Council and serves
on the Board of Directors of the Pittsfield Catholic Schools as Chairman of the Finance Committee.
In addition, John has served on the Board of Directors of the Berkshire Community Action Council and was a
Board Member of Berkshire County Kids Place. He was also Chairman of the Board of the Pittsfield YMCA,
Secretary of the Tri-State Alpine Youth Ski Racing Association, Treasurer of Pittsfield Youth Soccer and has
coached youth baseball and soccer.
Upon graduation from college, John joined the national accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand.
That experience enabled him to obtain his C.P.A. credentials. Later, while attending law school at night,
he was employed by the Bank of New England as an Assistant Vice President. In addition to his academic and
civic-minded pursuits, John has given numerous technical presentations on financial, tax and estate planning
matters over the years throughout Berkshire County.
