Welcome to the QDRO and DRO drafting for lawyers home page. This site is presented by Attorney Peter C. Alessio of the law firm of Martin & Oliveira, LLP for the sole purpose of providing high quality QDRO and DRO drafting services by a lawyer exclusively to lawyers.
Pricing: $350.00 for the first order drafted per retirement plan. $150.00 for each order per retirement plan after the first. Example 1: You represent a wife who will be receiving a portion of the husband's pension, 401K and company stock based matching thrift plan. Often all three benefits are administered as one "plan" by the company. The first order would deal with the pension and cost $350.00. The second would deal with the 401K and cost $150.00 The third would deal with the stock based matching thrift plan and cost another $150.00. Total cost $650.00. Example 2: You represent a husband who will be receiving a portion of his wife's nurse union pension and a state teacher's pension (wife started as a teacher and then went back to school and became a nurse). The QDRO for the nurse union pension would be $350.00. The DRO (state retirement systems do not need to qualify under ERISA) for the state administered teacher's pension would be another $350.00. All orders for a particular retirement plan will be contained in one document unless the retirement plan administrator specifies otherwise.
